Did you know? The all-new Mazda CX-5 will make its global debut on November 16th at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. This fully redesigned, second-generation crossover will emulate the design of the new and larger CX-9 and should become an instant hit when it goes on sale in mid-2017.

Here are other topics that dominated headlines on Auto123.com last week…

Volkswagen finally unveiled the Atlas, a new midsize SUV with seating for seven. Expected to arrive at dealerships next spring, it promises class-competitive levels of technology and spaciousness combined with hallmark Volkswagen driving dynamics and attention to detail, all at a price designed to draw customers’ attention in the family SUV segment, the company claims.

Another big announcement was a range-topping, high-performance version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan. Actually, there will be two: The new 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 4MATIC+ and E63 S 4MATIC+ exploit a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine with direct injection that generates 571 and 612 horsepower, respectively. They too will make their debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Pickup truck enthusiasts liked our story on the new 2017 Ram 1500 winning the Canadian Truck King Challenge for the third year in a row (although Ford skipped the competition). If you prefer fast cars and racing, you should watch again that exhilarating video of the 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 destroying the famous Nürburgring in a time of 7:29:60 minutes.

As for car reviews, our most popular ones last week included the new 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback, the performance-focused Infiniti Q60 and BMW M2, as well as the 2017 Nissan TITAN lineup.

Finally, with winter approaching, our feature on RWC replica wheels generated lots of page views. The brand has found an ardent customer base among motorists wanting a set of light-alloy wheels that stay true to their vehicle’s original design, allowing them to tackle the winter months in style with quality wheels.
