A Coolness that Transcends the Age Barrier
How many kids in the last hundred years have gone to school bragging about Mom and Dad's new station wagon? I can assure you

not many. In fact I'll bet most adolescents cringe at the sight of the family wagon lumbering up the driveway. About the only wagon that held a kernel of "coolness" in my school days was the 1965-1972 Olds Vista-Cruiser with its raised roof and skylights. Apart from that, there has been very little to brag about in the domestic wagon market - until now that is.
DaimlerChrysler and the boys at Dodge have given our youth a sparkle of hope for the next time the nation's mamas and papas go wagon, or worse yet minivan shopping. I can hear car-crazed boys and girls all across the country desperately chanting, "Please let it be a Magnum RT!"

moment their eyes locked onto the silver Magnum RT tester tucked discreetly in my garage. "Cool" they both gleefully proclaimed as if scripted and rehearsed. And thanks to a wildly successful advertising campaign, their next remark was, "That got a Hemi in it?" Following my verification that a 5.7-liter (345 cubic inch), 340-horsepower Hemi lurked beneath the hood, the young pal declared, "My Dad wants to get one of these." And that's just what DaimlerChrysler hopes youngsters are repeating in garages around the world. His Dad is among millions of Dads, all coveting a set of Magnum RT keys.
