7 - Comfort and rear seats
When it comes to the comfort level of the Mustang's front seats, there's little to complain about. In fact, they're very welcoming and offer good back support. Where I'd like to find more, especially on a GT version, is in terms of lateral support, for the thighs, arms and shoulders.
As it happened, right after my test drive of the Mustang GT, I drove a Subaru WRX. The contrast is striking when it comes to the support offered by the bucket seats. Not the same clientele, you might say. True, but still, Ford can do better here.
Oh, and as for the rear seats, this has been repeated ad nauseum, but we’ll repeat it again: they’re strictly for kids. If you plan a multi-day road trip with friends in the back seat, they'll curse you within hours of setting out. Note that if you have to do it, the soft-top configuration will at least allow them to have their heads out in the open and breathe. Maybe then you won’t hear the cursing.
8 - The exhaust
You may already know this, but it’s noteworthy nonetheless. The Mustang's exhaust can be muted (or almost) so you don't make enemies of your neighbours. That's a valuable feature, because the engine sound can be, let’s say, forceful, when you hit the gas. It can also, if you’re so inclined, be adjusted so that it's more audible. A real symphony it is, though an aggressive one.
