5 - Configurable gauges

With the GT version, you get to play with a highly configurable digital instrument cluster. This kind of stuff doesn't always appeal to me, but the Mustang's is interesting because of its high degree of customization. In Track mode in particular, a scrolling strip for engine revs extends from one end of the screen to the other. The effect is irresistible. It’s also possible to see in the centre of the screen the gauges that you want, for instance the oil temperature or a host of other data.

6 - USB port

Regarding this detail, it's the Mustang we’re pointing the finger at in this instance, but really it’s something that applies to many models. While Ford has helpfully installed a USB port on the console for connecting devices, it takes some real dexterity to get your cable connected. Why install the plug in a place that’s downright hard to reach? Please Ford, rethink the design for the next generation.
