Consumers have spoken when it comes to Toyota’s juggernaut compact SUV. There’s just no competitor on the market that offers such a combination of reliability, comfortable practicality and positive driving dynamics as the RAV4, and the Prime version takes things to another level again. That’s thanks to a very muscular powertrain and wonderful fuel economy thanks to the 68-km range of the electric battery.

While the RAV4 is not quite as dominant south of the border as it is here in Canada, it’s still an extremely popular choice among consumers there, and the reasons why are obvious.

What KBB liked:

- Very muscular powertrain, dynamic performance
- 68 km of range (48 miles for our American friends)
- Great fuel economy from such a powerful set up under the hood
- Comfort inside
- Quality of construction
- It almost makes the other RAV4s look bad
