The Sixteen makes good use of aluminum components, providing stiff structural rigidity and the obvious weight saving advantages. The chassis mixes its aluminum pieces with steel, employing a high-arm SLA suspension up front and an independent semi-trailing arm setup in the rear. Enhancing the long-wheelbase sedan's turning radius and general maneuverability is a version of GM's four-wheel steering system. Stopping power comes via ABS equipped Baer 6-piston disc brakes all-round, incorporating massive 406 mm (16-in) rotors ominously framed within the Sixteen's 24 x 9-inch polished aluminum wheels on Michelin custom-tread P265/40R24 tires.

But just one look inside is enough to stifle any thought that this Cadillac is only about performance. Its cabin invokes the themes of the 1930s, including elegant burled walnut veneers that delicately surround the entire interior at shoulder height, hand-stitched Tuscany leather upholstered seats and trim, hand-woven silk carpeting and a gorgeous Bvlgari clock at dash central. The instrument cluster is tall and narrow like the 'dash boards' of early Cadillacs, while a custom-designed crystal adds to the Sixteen's mystique. While taking a ride back in time its interior design is also decidedly contemporary, clean and almost understated in an architecturally minimalist fashion.
