Features like improved comfort bucket seats, a thicker more purposeful feeling steering wheel and new timepiece-style gauges. What's more the Ferrari now exudes a richness the previous model lacked. Sure the 550 was good, the best Ferrari ever when introduced, but the 575M has upped the ante yet again making the old car's cabin seem almost dowdy in comparison. Rich brushed aluminum join new sumptuous leathers - both perforated and smooth varieties depending what area they're covering. Further separating this lofty priced chariot from mere mortal machines, you'll be hard pressed to find any plastic surfaces. But still, if the stock interior isn't up to your tastes try ordering the optional carbon fiber bucket seats that mirror those used in the awesome 550 Barchetta Pininfarina, part of the Corrozzeria Scaglietti personalization program. Overall, the 575M's interior is a thorough refinement over that in the outgoing model, improving every switch, knob and button in the process.

Its updated bodywork can only be referred to as a refinement as well, as only those who particularly cherish Ferraris will notice much of a difference. Its front air intake, hood scoop, front spoiler and 5-spoke alloy wheels have been mildly modified, living up to the 'M' that follows its 575 designation - modificata. Most noticeable are new tri-lens xenon headlamps, surrounded under their wind-cheating transparent covers by molded pieces of body-color composite. That said the remaining design cues are not visibly changed. Two vertical engine air exhaust slats still reside just aft of the front fenders, a set of four round taillights still grace the rear fascia and the coupes elegant rear quarter view, arguably its best angle, is unchanged. Still, despite the similarities to the outgoing model, the entire car now appears more assertive. Gone is the 550's grinning grille, replaced with a purposefully race-ready oval.
