"Though the Triant is a futuristic design exploration, it would fit right in with today's exciting lineup of Infiniti performance luxury vehicles," stated McNabb. "Infiniti's product resurgence has continued in the past few years at an incredible pace. The Triant lets us stretch the envelope a little with some longer range thinking and design features such as its gullwing doors, GPS-linked 'turning' headlights and flexible rear seating/cargo area."

Did he say GPS-linked turning headlights? That's right. The Triant's advanced headlight system 'guides' its beams around corners with the help of digital mapping data and GPS technology. The high beams rotate up to 15 degrees while the low beams swing from back and forth up to 30 degrees, just preceding and during the turn. This provides optimal nighttime visibility.

The Triant has also been designed to optimize both on and off-road handling while delivering a smooth luxurious ride by way of a sophisticated 4-wheel independent height-adjustable suspension system. It can be raised up to 20 mm (0.8 in) when off pavement or lowered almost 31 mm (1.2 in) to benefit its coefficient of drag and reduce its center of gravity while at highway speeds. Handling should be further enhanced by the use of 8.5x19-inch chromed aluminum-alloy wheels and a set of meaty 255/55R19 low-profile tires, biased for highway use but still featuring a tread pattern that makes them capable of light off-road duty too.
