There's no use going off-road without four wheels pushing and pulling, therefore the Triant comes equipped with an advanced ATTESA ET-S AWD system. For motivation it incorporates Infiniti's award winning VQ 3.5-L 24-valve, DOHC V6 that produces a healthy 260-hp and 260 lb-ft of torque in G35 sedan guise. Its power flows through a 5-speed automatic transmission actuated via either steering wheel-mounted shift paddles or a low-profile shift-by-wire lever on the center console.
The console itself is replete with a bevy of round metal buttons and rectangular levers and knobs to control most primary functions and just about every convenience feature imaginable. An Infiniti signature oval analog clock sits at top center, tying the future look theme in with a simpler, classic past. Following this philosophy a power actuated carbon-fiber lid covers the console when not in use, creating a sleek, minimalist appearance when closed.
Above the console on the dash is a retractable 7.0-inch LCD information center display with integrated navigation system. It tucks out of the way when not in use too, becoming flush with the expansive dash area. What might be the world's most advanced looking steering wheel displays buttons, switches and dials while using silver metal and black leather to frame a gloriously backlit instrument pod-style gauge cluster. Below, just above the floorboards, three matte and bright metal finished pedals offer a design alternative to what are now almost commonplace drilled metal pedals.
