After about fifteen weeks of Porsche test cars I'm finally beginning to figure out the somewhat complicated Becker supplied audio interface. The Bose-stereo system it's connected to is quite superb now, not previously a Porsche strong card. Since the introduction of the 996 the interior ergonomics and quality of materials have improved too, with wonderfully supple leather seats that include power memory on my test car. They're easy to get comfortable in, thanks also to a tilt and telescoping, perfectly designed steering wheel.

Take a look at the specifications below and you'll see its $110,200 price is quite reasonable for what you get. Reasonable is one of those ambiguous words I suppose, after all if you're struggling to pay the rent each month then more than a hundred grand for a car might seem a bit extreme. Of course add up the options, and there are a literal ton of them, and the price escalates much higher. In actual fact, it can almost double when fully loaded, ballooning to an overwhelming $207,385 not including freight and PDI. If you don't believe me check out the car builder in the technical specifications section of this website and give it a go.

Speaking of giving it a go, I'm sitting in the Targa right now with laptop in lap typing out this story, wondering why the heck I'm not driving. Being that I don't personally have the $110,200 to invest, I'd best take advantage of my opportunities while I can. Life is only so long and moments like these only come around so often, even in my business. So enough dreaming, I'm going driving.
