For a firmer ride and even more precise handling, the SE and SE V6 suspension has higher spring and shock damping rates, and a front strut tower bar to reinforce the upper shock mounts for a more stable geometry.
To add even more stopping power and directional control, Vehicle Skid Control (VSC) with Brake Assist is optional on the XLE V6 and SE V6. VSC uses throttle intervention plus the ABS actuators and sensors to help maintain directional stability under adverse road conditions. The system's traction control helps reduce tire slippage, and Brake Assist detects emergency braking and subtly applies supplemental line pressure to maximize the effectiveness of the ABS.
The Camry LE is equipped with front discs and rear drums. All other trim levels have 4-wheel disc brakes.
