The Confidence of Built-In Safety
In addition to the build quality for which Toyota is famous, Camry offers exceptional occupant protection. "Tailored blanks" in the front sub-frame are created from different thicknesses of sheet steel that are pre-cut, then welded together before being stamped into a single piece. This allows the sub-frame to compress with progressive resistance to disperse kinetic energy in the event of a frontal collision, helping to minimize cabin deformation. A reinforced upper cabin frame, reinforced rocker support at all four window pillars, as well as massive door beams help maintain cabin integrity during a collision.
