The STX is for those who want all the work truck attributes with a sportier appearance. Also available in Regular and SuperCab bodystyles the STX gets body color bumpers and 17-inch alloy wheels. The stock audio system can be upgraded to higher output, subwoofer enhanced stereo complete with a 6-disc in-dash CD player.

The XLT is next up the feeding chain, with all cab variations including the 4-door SuperCrew available. Also, depending on the choice of cab, customers can choose either Styleside or Flareside boxes. The XLT gets a unique grille treatment, optional silver two-tone paint scheme and distinct 17-inch cast aluminum wheels. Either a split bench seat or dual captains chairs are part of the XLT package, both covered in upgraded premium cloth, while the interior is further enhanced with chrome dash accents. Foglamps and Ford's new overhead rail system round out the package while standard second-row power windows are unique in this category.

What's an FX4? The designation comes from a niche version of its smaller Ranger stablemate. The four-wheel drive, Flareside model is also available in all cabin configurations and both 1,981 mm (6.5 ft) and 1,676 mm (5.5 ft) boxes. Optional 18-inch machined alloy rims give the FX4 a sportier appearance while body-color bumpers, a black and body-color grille and optional Dark Shadow Gray lower two-tone paint gives it racier appeal.
