The rear wing, that houses the turbocharger and intercooler in Turbo models, is fitted with an air collector to force feed the engine at high speeds, assisting the RS to its maximum power output even quicker. Zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) flashes by in a mere 4.4 seconds, with 200 km/h (124.3 mph) needing only 14 seconds. A 306 km/h (190 mph) terminal velocity means the GT3 RS should have no problem overtaking on the straights.

Porsche supplies a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission for changing gears, connecting to the engine via a single-mass flywheel, with a lower rotating mass than a double-mass flywheel.

Part of the GT3 RS package includes a full rollover cage, and either white and blue or white and red paint schemes. (Photo: Porsche)

Cross-drilled and inner ventilated power disc brakes, 350 mm (13.8 in) up front and 330 mm (13.0 in) in the rear, with 6-piston calipers are assisted by ABS, reportedly providing otherworldly stopping power. The addition of 235/40ZR18 front and 295/30ZR18 rear performance tires add grip galore. The tires surround lightweight 45.7 x 21.6 cm (18.0 x 8.5 in) front and 45.7 x 27.9 cm (18 x 11.0 in) rear 5-spoke alloy wheels, combining perfectly with the McPherson strut front suspension and multi-link setup in the rear.

Despite its light weight a full rollover cage comes as part of the package, as does the standard white paint and blue or red graphics package, again just like the original RS.
