A long list of safety and security features, some standard and others optional, include ABS brakes with Brake Assist (BA), a child seat anchoring system with LATCH for easily securing new-style safety seats, an energy absorbent steering column, Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and ParkSense Rear Back-up Detection System that were just mentioned, side-curtain airbags, side-impact airbags and, of course, dual front advanced multi-stage airbags will be standard, as will side-curtain airbags for all three rows, plus three-point seatbelts all-round, with pretensioning capabilities up front.
