Miss: Volkswagen E-Bugster Concept
This thing bothers me, because I really like the way it looks, but can’t abide its contradictions. The E-Bugster is a combination of “E” for electric, “Bug” as per the Beetle’s North American nickname, and “speedster,” which typically describes an open-top two-seater. The E-Bugster is not a convertible. It has the small roof pillars and small glass of a “chopped” hot-rod — so why not call it the “Chopster”?
Also, its electric drive unit, dubbed “Blue-e-Motion” and to be found in future products like the Golf Blue-e-Motion, is not quite in line with the E-Bugster’s anti-establishment, rock and roll vibe.
