The latest generation of the Escape offered a ride that was more inspired than boring. We were happy to see that this was still the case, even if we're not at the same address as Mazda with its CX-5. So you shouldn't be disappointed by what the model offers in this regard, but you should know that emotion isn't there either. The 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine does the job, as does the continuously variable transmission (CVT) that you almost manage to forget.
