As alluded to above, the previous generation of the Escape had a poor record of reliability, especially in its first two years on the market. Will this be the case with the new version? Of course, it's impossible to know at this early stage, but until we know more we're more comfortable recommending a lease than a purchase. Let the model prove itself before giving the green light in its case.
