2021 LUXURY FULL-SIZE CAR OF THE YEAR
BMW 7 Series - Genesis G90 - Porsche Panamera
The trio of finalists shown here for the 2021 edition of the Auto123 Awards may surprise some. All three cars have their own personalities. The 7 Series can play the role of a comfortable limousine, a sporty sedan or – yes - an eco-sedan. The same can be said of the Porsche Panamera... which demonstrates an added penchant for dynamic driving. The Genesis G90, on the other hand, proves once again that you don't have to spend $150,000 for a beautifully assembled luxury sedan.
We'll know in a few days which of these living rooms on wheels will walk away with the title for 2021.

2021 SUBCOMPACT SUV OF THE YEAR
Kia Seltos - Mazda CX-30 - Subaru Crosstrek
This is one of the most popular segments of the last five or six years. Subcompact SUVs are slowly replacing compact cars in the driveways of Canadian motorists. These small urban vehicles have reasonable room inside - most of them, anyway -, are fuel-efficient and can even handle a mildly rough trail.
Even with so many choices at hand, it's no big surprise our staff selected these three SUVs, two of which are very new. Indeed, it's fair to say that the Kia Seltos has successfully entered the market with very encouraging sales figures for a model that was still unknown just a year ago. The Mazda CX-30 stands out from the competition with the dynamic driving experience it delivers, especially in the more upscale variant. Finally, the Subaru Crosstrek is perceived as the sure thing in the segment.
Which one will win? The answer in a week...
