Ram is expanding its commercial vehicle customization options with the introduction of the Night Edition package, now available with its 2027 Chassis Cab models. Already offered on the Ram 1500 and Heavy Duty pickups, this package will now be available on the Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500.
The new trim option, which will make its public debut at the 2026 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, will be offered on Big Horn and Laramie models. Buyers will be able to order it with either a Regular Cab or Crew Cab.

Design of the 2027 Ram Night Edition
The Night Edition package replaces several chrome components with dark or body-colour trim. Notably, it includes a Sport Performance hood along with black wheels and badging.
Meanwhile, the grille surround, front bumper and fender flares are matched to the body colour. The ParkSense front and rear park assist system is also included in the package.
In Canada, the package carries an MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $3,595 on Big Horn models equipped with Level 1 or Level 2 equipment groups. Its price is set at $3,045 on the Laramie version. Ram will start taking orders in the fourth quarter of 2026; arrival at dealerships is scheduled for later in the year.

Powertrains of the 2027 Ram Night Edition
The mechanical offering remains unchanged. The 2027 Ram Chassis Cab can be powered by a 6.4L HEMI V8 producing 375 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. Also available is a 6.7L Cummins inline-6 turbodiesel engine, generating 360 hp and 800 lb-ft. In both cases, the engine is mated to an 8-speed TorqueFlite HD automatic transmission.
Capacities vary depending on the model and powertrain. In its most capable configuration, the Ram 5500 equipped with the Cummins engine can tow up to 15,667 kg. With the HEMI V8, maximum payload capacity reaches 5,611 kg.
Tailored for upfitting
Ram Chassis Cabs are available with four cab-to-axle lengths: 60, 84, 108 and 120 inches. Their rear section features a flat surface to simplify the installation of specialized equipment.
All 2027 models come standard with several driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. The lineup is assembled in Saltillo, Mexico.
