In a joint venture, Lotus and Jaguar are developing a new engine called Omnivore
The Lotus engineering division is currently designing a new biofuel engine. The British manufacturer has teamed up with Jaguar and Queen's University, who will help with every step of the development process. The two-stroke, one-cylinder engine, dubbed Omnivore, will be able to run with different types of fuel that are less damaging to the environment.
