Ford #1 at the box office
Those who've seen I Am Legend starring Will Smith will remember the first scene, where the charming actor speeds down deserted New York streets in a bright red Ford Mustang GT500. The Mustang didn't end up in the movie by chance. Ford is relying a lot on product placement as a marketing tool. Between January 1, 2007 and January 1, 2008, Ford vehicles have appeared in 30 of the 52 movies presented at the American box office, including the most recent Batman flick, The Dark Knight.
