On November 2, at the AJAC's 24th annual banquet in Niagara-on-the-Lake, two of our colleagues at Auto123.com won prestigious awards: Michel Deslauriers and Nadine Filion.
First, we'd like to congratulate our Desk Manager and Senior Writer, Michel Deslauriers, for finishing among the top 3 auto journalists of 2007 according to the AJAC. The jury had to evaluate all candidates based on a number of criteria; they awarded Michel with the second-place prize for his language comprehension, communication skills, relaxed writing style and superior knowledge of the featured subjects.
As for Nadine Filion, she won the Wakefield Castrol Award in the "Technical Subject" category for her feature Chevrolet Volt: a different species of hybrid. Nadine has since left Auto123.com to pursue other goals.
The AJAC includes over a hundred members and more than 70 of them were on hand at the annual awards banquet.
