The only models currently available in both are the CR-V compact sport utility and Acura's TSX, based on Honda's European Accord. A diesel-powered TSX might make a great deal of sense, as premium automakers are already succeeding in this market. While difficult to say which models will spearhead Honda's plan to enter North America with diesel engines, an executive from the Japanese automaker was adamant that his company would offer diesel cars in North America very soon.
