BMW admitted it could leave the World Touring Car championship in a near future, following new technical regulations changes by the FIA.
After Pau, Seat Leon TDI’s turbo pressure has been increased, while the BMW took an additional weight for Valencia. BMW didn’t win any of the eight rounds already competed this season.
In Monaco, Mario Theissen, BMW Motorsport director, admitted that BMW is investigating opportunities in other Touring car series.
Rumors say BMW could run in the DTM championship in a near future, to join Mercedes and Audi (and maybe Peugeot).
