Red Bull’s Christian Horner has made his views on the Resource Restriction Agreement (RRA) and Formula One Teams’ Association (FOTA) clear.

In the mist of a query over cost restrictions inside the FOTA, that led to big names’ – Red Bull and Ferrari –departure, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner reflected on the fact the problems his team had were not with the very idea of reducing costs, but rather with the way the FOTA handled the matter.

"FOTA did a lot of good things when it was first created," he insists. "In recent months, it has been less effective and more fractured in the way of thinking of how the FOTA should move forward."

Horner's team had been criticized lately for its questionable interpretation of the RRA. He sustains however the problem lies in the fact different teams work differently, and that equal measures are hard to come by.

"Dealing with equivalence is always quite dangerous. Each of the teams has a different make up, different ownership," he said.

But he is adamant he believes in cost-cutting measures.

"We all agree with budget control."

"There's a willingness from all of the teams to try and contain costs, it's just the manner that you do it."
