17-year-old Carlos Sainz Jr, son of double world rally champion, will take part to the british Formula 3 championship with team Carlin next season.
Sainz Jr started his single seater career in 2010 in Formula BMW Europe, that he concluded in 4th place with team Eurointernational. In 2011, he was crowned in Formula Renault 2.0 North European Championship, at took 4th place in Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup.
"I’m really looking forward to next year, the Spaniard said, it’s going to be a challenge but I know I’m with the best team for British Formula Three. I can’t wait to take part in the series and hope to be challenging for wins like Jaime [Alguersuari], Daniel [Ricciardo] and Jean-Eric [Vergne] did. I know that my first season will be difficult especially because there will be new cars next season, but I trust the team to develop the car as they have done in previous seasons and I’m sure if I work hard we will have a good year."
Carlos Sainz Jr is a Red Bull Junior driver since 2010.
