Introducing the all-new Volkswagen up!. The German manufacturer promised to reveal more details on its new city roundabout last month, before the official unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. And VW keeps its promises.
Smaller than a MINI Cooper (3,540 mm vs. 3,723 mm), the up! will come in three different versions: the take up!, move up! and high up!. The micro car will call on a three-cylinder mill putting down between 60 and 74 hp. An electric version is also in the works.
Technology-wise, the up! will be the first Volkswagen to feature the portable personal infotainment system “maps + more.” Developed in collaboration with Navigon, the device brings together navigation, telephone, information and entertainment features.
That’s the only information we’ve got at the moment. Volkswagen will reveal more at the official unveiling.
