Police cars are nice, but trucks are better, so this new 2018 Ford F-150 Police Responder—the industry’s first pursuit-rated pickup—will give law enforcement agencies a more versatile and capable patrol vehicle, both on and off the road.
Based on the F-150 FX4 off-road model with a SuperCrew cab, the F-150 Police Responder boasts a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 that produces 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, which is more than any other pursuit-rated police vehicle in North America. A 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission is included, too.
