GP2: Sergio Perez wins 1st race in Monaco

Sergio Perez clinched victory in the first GP2 race held in the streets of Monaco, second round of the 2010 series.

The Mexican driver crossed the finish line in first place, after he brilliantly defended his position against Venezuelan driver Pastor Maldonado.

Spaniard Dani Clos took third position. Clos started the race from pole position, but was overtook by both Perez and Maldonado at the first corner of Ste Devote.

Jules Bianchi takes fourth position ahead of Alberto Valerio, Giedo Van der Garde and Luiz Razia. Jérôme d'Ambrosio took eighth place, and will enjoy the advantage of starting from pole position for Race 2 on Saturday.
