GT: Bernoldi and Negrao take home victory in Interlagos (+ videos)

Former Formula 1 driver Enrique Bernoldi and Xandi Negrao, driving a Maserati MC12 clinched victory in Interlagos on Sunday, penultimate round of the GT1 World championship.



The Brazilian drivers secured second position in the qualifying race on Saturday, finishing behind Tomas Enge and Darren Turner's Aston Martin DBR9.

But in Sunday's championship race, Negrao was able to find a way pass Turner during the last laps of the race to take the lead, and the win in front of a massive home crowd.

Enge and Turner took second position, and are still in position to fight for the championship, even if both drivers are 28 points behind points' leaders Bartels and Bertolini (Maserati MC12) before the last round to be held in San Luis, Argentina.
