GP2 series’ Dutch-Chinese racer Ho-Pin Tung was on hand at the Sebring International Raceway as he was invited by the FAZZT Racing team to test Alex Tagliani’s B&W Dallara-Honda.

A Gravity Sport Management driver, Ho-Pin Tung logged 211 laps over two days in what was his first ever experience in an Indy car just days after placing 14th in the GP2 season finale at Abu Dhabi.

Tung is a veteran, with three years of GP2, in addition to two seasons in the A1GP series and a year in the Superleague Formula. He also tested a Renault R29 F1 car last year at the Young Drivers test at Jerez.

Unfortunately, his 2010 season was cut short when he suffered a fractured vertebra after collecting a spinning car during the Hungaroring GP2 round.

FAZZT’s co-owner Alex Tagliani stressed the fact that nothing has been signed between the two parties, but he emphasizes that the team is looking to expand to a two-car operation for which current sponsor Bowers & Wilkins is fully involved.

FAZZT expects to reveal its 2011 plans shortly.
