1964 Volkswagen Transporter

The Beetle wasn’t the only historic VW on display at the Los Angeles show. In fact visitors with a penchant for day-dreaming could easily imagine themselves back in 1963, if only for a moment. Behind this 1964 Transporter, you can just catch a glimpse of the new I.D. BUZZ CARGO concept van that VW brought with it to the show this year. This fully electric vehicle represents the rebirth of a model that marked several generations of motorists.

Do the same exercise as with the Porsche, and the choice is equally difficult. Which would you rather have parked in your driveway - the exciting future electric van, or the nostalgia-inducing original? Can we have both?
