First on the all-new "Project America" midsize architecture was the recently introduced Endeavor SUV, boldly styled to match its dynamic performance. Next on the agenda was the introduction of the completely redone Galant, now a front runner with the best in the business Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry.
What's next? A completely updated Eclipse coupe and convertible, the former expected to launch next year. To tease Detroit auto show goers next month the Japanese brand will debut the Eclipse Concept-E, reportedly a good indication of what we can expect from the next-generation sporty coupe.
Like the real thing, the Eclipse Concept-E, code named PS24S, rides on Endeavor/Galant architecture. This is good, as previously mentioned both the SUV and midsize sedan deliver solid performance. Mitsubishi holds nothing back by promising its concept, and the production car to follow, will deliver "pure driving pleasure, with levels of dynamic handling and exhilarating performance rivaling those found in the motorsport arena."
