After having been released by Petty Enterprises where he had been driving the fame No.43 car for the last three seasons, the 2000 Sprint Cup Series champion Bobby Labonte has been hired by Hall of Fame Racing to drive the No. 96 Ford.
By the same token, Hall of Fame Racing announced an alignment with Yates Racing. With the recent expansion of the Yates Racing facilities, the No. 96 Ford will operate out of the Yates Racing complex in Concord, N.C.
