The NASCAR governing body has decided to modify the rules regarding restarts during a race in the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck series ahead of the 2009 season.
Single-file restarts will now be implemented in the last 20 laps of a race, rather than the final 10.
The rule change will help more drivers on the lead lap to be able to challenge for victory if there is a caution late in a race.
