Carl Edwards (Ford No 60) did everything he could including winning the Ford 300 NASCAR Nationwide race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway but he could not stop Clint Bowyer (Chevy No 2) from winning the championship.
Bowyer finished fifth in the race edging Edwards by merely 21 points! Kyle Busch (Camry No 18) came in second in the race followed by Brad Keselowski (Chevy No 88). Thus Edwards will have to be the runner-up in the 2008 Nationwide championship. Canadian D.J Kennington (Dodge No 81) ended up 26th in the race and...26th in the championship!
