Ron Beauchamp Jr. earned his second career NASCAR Canadian Tire Series pole for the season finale Z-Line Designs 250 at Kawartha Speedway.
Beauchamp, whose previous pole was at SunValley, had a fast lap of 18.067 seconds (74.722 mph) around the .375-mile oval.
Andrew Ranger qualified second with a time of 18.081 (74.664 mph). Ranger will clinch his second series championship in three seasons by starting Saturday night's event, which is slated to take the green at 7 p.m.
J.R. Fitzpatrick was third fastest in qualifying with a time of 18.090 (74.627 mph), followed by D.J. Kennington and John Gaunt.
