Acura announced pricing and equipment for the mildly-redesigned 2012 TL, set to go on sale in Canada on March 18. The base TL will have an MSRP of $39,490, while the TL SH-AWD will retail for $43,490.
The Technology Package, which includes the Acura Navigation System with 60-gigabyte hard disk drive (HDD), will cost an extra $3,500.
The TL SH-AWD is the only model to offer the Elite Package, which incorporates navigation, larger wheels (19'' vs. 18''), ventilated front seats and a new Blind Spot Information (BSI) system. Thusly equipped, the sedan will carry a price of $48,990.
Design has been slightly updated for 2012 to include a more aerodynamic front fascia, revised fog lights, a redesigned grille and shorter overhangs. The rear section also receives minor changes, particularly the taillights.
The engine will now team up with a 6-speed Sequential SportShift automatic transmission with double-kick-down feature. In addition to delivering more spirited accelerations, the unit will help improve efficiency. The new TL SH-AWD is rated at 11.4 L/100 km in the city and 7.6 L/100 km on the highway.
