QUEBEC -- Starting December 7, 2009, most financial institutions will accept payments for SAAQ-delivered driver’s licenses, registrations, disabled parking permits and account statements.
National Bank, Desjardins, Laurentian Bank and BMO are already accepting these payments. The next to join the list will be RBC, TD Canada Trust, Scotia Bank, CIBC, HSBC and Credit Union.
There are various payment methods available, including:
Online or by phone (for National Bank and Desjardins clients only);
At a teller’s wicket or ATM;
By mail (full payment required);
Through automatic account withdrawals;
At any SAAQ service outlet (additional fees of $3 will apply).
The SAAQ invites people to contact their financial institution in order to validate the payment methods that are accepted. Note that some institutions might offer this new service a few days after December 7.
