Go get your George Michael, Cyndi Lauper and Prince cassettes – Nissan is reportedly planning to relive the '80s by bringing Datsun back!
Some new information indicate that the Japanese automaker wants to use the name as a sub-brand to sell rebadged Dacias. The sole purpose of Datsun would be to serve large, developing markets such as Russia and China.
Canadians shouldn't get too excited, though, as they have little to no chances of witnessing a Datsun return on these shores.
Do you think Nissan would make a mistake by resurrecting a nameplate that still carries memories of magnificent cars such as the Fairlady?
