Nissan X-Trail
Nissan Canada will bring in a Canada-only version of the X-Trail sport-cute from Japan to compete with such models as the Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.
The 2005 X-Trail will be powered by a 165-hp, 16-valve, DOHC, 2.5-litre, inline-4 that produces 170 ft-lbs of torque at 4,000 rpm at a price that will be announced soon.
Available in front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive configurations, X-Trail will be offered as XE, sporty SE and luxury LE, the latter available only with AWD.
The base XE trim standard features include four anti-lock disc brakes, 16-inch steel wheels, power windows and door locks, outside temperature display, air conditioning and anti-theft system.
Other standard features include a washable cargo floor, a warm/cool storage box, dent-resistant front fenders, and a ski pass-through.
Optional features include heated cloth seats, extra large sunroof, alloy wheels, leather seats, and a six-disc CD changer.
