From Peugeot Sport press release
Olivier Quesnel has been appointed Director of both Citroën Sport and Peugeot Sport. He will take up his position on January 1, 2009. Peugeot Sport's current Director Michel Barge has moved on to another position.
With the same person at the helm of the two brands' competition departments, Peugeot and Citroën will be looking to pursue two objectives: Ensure the success of both brands in the disciplines in which they are respectively active, namely the FIA World Rally Championship in the case of Citroën, and endurance racing in the case of Peugeot, and develop synergy between the two operations and optimize costs.
Olivier Quesnel, 58, has been the Director of Citroën Sport since January 1, 2008. He worked alongside Jean Todt to found Peugeot Talbot Sport in 1980. He then became the General Manager of the Michel Hommell media group before joining Citroën.
