Porsche 911 Targa 4S
I ended this incredible day by driving the new Porsche 911 Targa 4S with retractable glass roof. Boosted by 335 horsepower and a good AWD system, this car loves to be driven both smoothly and aggressively. Fast, refined and polished, it has all the ingredients to satisfy those who want to enjoy the sun with their 911.
Three laps and then it's over
Three laps with each car--15 laps overall--are barely enough to wet your whistle, but they allowed me to realize once again why the track is the perfect place to enjoy the pleasures of fast driving. Where else would you rather push a car's limits (and yours)? Everything is safe and supervised. While Porsche intended to give us the opportunity to taste the true nature of their cars, they also wanted to remind everyone that public roads are not an ideal spot to drive aggressively--only a racetrack is. And just because you own a sports car doesn't mean you know how to drive. That's why Porsche created this advanced training program. If you're interested, driving classes are conducted all year long at the Barber Motorsports Park.
