Mercedes-Benz's new E500 is an evolutionary, but important step forward for one of the German luxury brand's most important models. Fans of the old E-Class will be happy to see even more ellipsoidal headlights, sexy new curves, and an overall more aggressive stance. A gorgeous new feature is the panoramic sunroof that creates the look of an all-glass roof and has a much larger opening than the conventional sunroof. Special glass filters out excessive sunlight, which can be further limited by power sunshades."

Porsche's Cayenne has been one of the most controversial new models to come along in years. While some Porschephiles may have trouble accepting the reality of an SUV baring the coveted German badge, the rest of the world readily accepts the new model as one of the best, if not the best all-round sport utility currently being produced. For this reason the judges chose it for their annual award.

The online magazine chose two new vehicles for an honorable mention as well, starting with Infiniti's G35 Coupe, what many consider one of the most attractive cars under $50,000. "The Coupe's design is gorgeous and clean, while an innovative powertrain alignment creates inspired driving performance," stated an eCityofStyle.com judge. "Dubbed the Front Mid-ship platform, the engine is placed behind the front axle, deep in the engine bay. The result is near even weight distribution between the axles. The luxurious and sporty interior features gauges that tilt with the steering wheel, a retractable navigation system screen, and an advanced Bose Audio System."
