Antoine L'Estage and his codriver Nathalie Richard (Hyundai Tiburon 2007) were forced to retired due to wheel and brake problems in Calgary for CRC's second championship round.
It is the first mecanical problem Antoine L'Estage has since july 2006. The couple, that won the first event of the season, had dominate the rally until their problems occured.
L'Estage and Rrchard are not the only drivers that had to retire from that rally: 14 teams were forced to stop before the end of the race.
This is partly because of numerous rain showers that were part of that second round of the Canadien Rally Championship.
Pat Richard and his codriver Alan Ockwell, driving a Subaru WRX STI 2008, won the event, completing it in 1:26:43.83.
They were followed by Gord Olsen and Todd Patola on a Subaru WRX 2004.
Zebe Szewczyk and teammate Thomas Karzynski completed the podium on a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 2004. They ended up 8 minutes slower than the winners.
