With its retractable roof that disappears in the trunk in 14 seconds, the new spider-coupé 2+2 has already seduced a number of buyers in North America and elsewhere in the world. Under its luscious hood hides a traditional Italian motore in the form of a 4.3 litre direction injection all-aluminum V8 producing 460 hp sent to the rear wheels through an F1-type robotized double clutch 7-speed gearbox with paddle shifters. For those who still wish to exercise their left leg, the California is also available with a manual 6-speed transmission. In both cases, the gearbox is located at the rear axle in order to improve front-to-rear weight distribution (57 to 43 %).
