Infiniti have not made mention as to whether the HID headlights that swivel with the steering to illuminate the road ahead around curves, intelligent cruise control designed to maintain a safe distance behind the car ahead, or voice recognition technology for a number of interior features will be part of the road-going production model, but much of this will most likely make the grade in top trim levels. On another note the introduction of the M35 marks end of the Maxima-based I35 that was introduced in 2001 as a 2002 model, and the death of all front-drive Infinitis. The I35 sold well at its introduction and throughout the years that led up to the new G35, but since that model's introduction the I35 has struggled and therefore won't be offered for 2005. There will also be no 2005 version of the current M45, but the automaker will instead sell off the remaining 2004 models in preparation to the new 2006 arriving next spring.
