Suzuki is turning to the International Court of Arbitration in London to force Volkswagen AG to relinquish its 19.9% stake in the Japanese company.
The news comes after Suzuki officially severed its end of the business agreement with Volkswagen AG on November 18th, 2011.
The almighty German automaker crucified its partner back in September, claiming Suzuki had violated the terms of their agreement by supplying diesel engines to a competitor (Fiat).
Not liking the way VW tried to actively influence its affairs, Suzuki soon demanded a divorce.
Things got increasingly messy ever since as Volkswagen AG failed to respond to Suzuki's requests for the disposition of its shares, which would free Suzuki and end the drama once and for all.
