What's most interesting about the Elite Car Effect is what you can get away with – or so I've found. From offering prime parking spots to sliding through alcohol checks on the highway with a wave of the copper's hand, it seems that elite vehicles have a kind of stunning influence on people who aren't driving them.
Maybe it has something to do with those assumptions; they assume you're important, that you deserve to be treated a certain way because you're driving the car you are. Once again, revealing something about your personality and your life based on the vehicle you drive.
Cars can send a powerful message to the world around you, and I'm not sure consumers realize that yet. But I want you to give a moment of thought the next time you get behind the wheel of your car. Are you sending the right message? What kind of assumptions are other drivers making about you?
